 Lois ErnestBorn 30 Jun 1920, died 10 May 2010 BEL AIR, Md. - Lois E. Cunningham, 89, of 128 West Ring Factory Road, Bel Air, Md., formerly of New York Court, Harrisburg, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Avondell/Brightview Assisted Living, Bel Air, Md. Born June 30, 1920, in Mifflintown, she was the daughter of the late Burns T. and Ola-Glenn (Rowe) Ernest Sr. Her husband, George S. Cunningham Sr., died on May 23, 1991. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Shaffner and husband, Robert, of Abingdon, Md.; one son, George S. "Skip" Cunningham Jr. and wife, Linda, of Tega Cay, S.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Stimmel and Miriam Bitting, both of Harrisburg, and Janet Cascarelli and husband, Don, of Hillsdale, Mich.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Evelyn Pandel, Mildred Beale and Burns T. "Tucker" Ernest Jr. Lois graduated from Juniata Joint High School and worked as a file clerk for PTF in Harrisburg. She was a member of the Colonial Park Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Society. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 14 at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown with the Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. Although there will not be a viewing, the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Service, 8003 Corporate Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236 or to Avondell Assisted Living Christmas Fund, 128 West Ring Factory Road, Bel Air, MD 21015., age 89 years
