Always remembered her as very quiet and reserved - which only increased as she got older. Near the end of her life, was forced to move out of the duplex on 1 Linden Drive (Danvers, MA), when the building was sold. She was living their when mom and dad got married, while grandpa was still alive - almost 30 years before. Mom always said her parents never owned their home - always rented.

I thought she never really recovered from that. She never had a drivers licence, but the Linden Dr place was across the street from the mall and shopping - so she didn't need one to live independently. Always seemed very fit from all the walking she did, prior to the move. All that disappeared when she had to move - perhaps hastening her physical decline.

According to Pauline...
Parents always thought he underachieved, took job below his degree. Dated a girl parents really liked, everyone thought they'd marry - but who he stopped seeing around the time he met grandma. At the time, everyone thought grandma was too aloof.

Had heart disease, died after severe stroke.

I remember not being allowed to go to his funeral. My only memory of him was when he installed a handle bar device on my bike. You twisted it and it would make a reving sound, like a motorcycle. I think it was called "Raw Power."
