Anita C. (Provencher) Cabana, 85, of Nashua, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. Mrs. Cabana was born March 25, 1921, in Nashua, daughter of the late Pierre and Antoinette (Morin) Provencher. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua. She was the wife of Leo J. Cabana of Nashua, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Cabana had been employed by the former Woolworth’s Department Store. She was a member of the Emblem Club and the Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. Cabana was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church. She was educated in local schools. Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Annette (Cabana) and Joe Bouvier of Dunedin, Fla., and Carol Hjelm of Merrimack; a son and a daughter-in-law, Raymond and Eva Cabana of Ararat, N.C.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Jeannette Bordeleau and Therese Janero, both of Nashua, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The Anctil-Rochette and Son Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
