Occupation: Blacksmith He settled in that part of Mendon that was known as Blackstone. David was a blacksmith, but he also probably farmed. He was a major landholder in Mendon. He and his wife were apparently were Anabaptists. David and both of his wives are buried in the old graveyard in what is known as South Bellingham about a mile from Crook's Corner. His stone is the oldest one there.
