 David Aldrich, son of Jacob Aldrich and Huldah Thayer.Born 23 May 1685 at Mendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States, died 15 Mar 1771 at Bellingham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States, age 85 years, buried at Scott Cemetery, Bellingham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Occupation: Blacksmith He settled in that part of Mendon that was known as Blackstone. David was a blacksmith, but he also probably farmed. He was a major landholder in Mendon. He and his wife were apparently were Anabaptists. David and both of his wives are buried in the old graveyard in what is known as South Bellingham about a mile from Crook's Corner. His stone is the oldest one there.
